What they're like
You cook; you don't watch someone cook. Everyone gets their own tools and ingredients. At the end you eat what you made, sitting down and unhurried, which is the part that usually gets forgotten.
You leave with the recipes written down and, where it makes sense, a handout on the subject of the workshop.
Paella team building
One paella for the whole team, made by the team. Tasks get shared out, there's chopping, sautéing and waiting together, which is when people actually talk. At the end everyone eats what they've cooked, sitting down and unhurried.
It works well with large groups and needs less space than you'd think: an outdoor area or a courtyard is enough. We can run it at our place or wherever you're meeting.
At your place
We'll bring the workshop wherever suits: a school, a community centre, an organisation's premises or a private flat. We need a kitchen or, at minimum, water, tables and power. We bring the rest.
Questions about the workshops
Do I need to know how to cook?
No. The workshops work whether you have never held a knife or you cook every day.
Are ingredients included?
Yes. The price always covers all the ingredients and the equipment.
Do you run workshops for companies and organisations?
Yes. We adapt them to the group, the space and the goal. The format most requested is paella team building, but we also run seasonal one-offs and training on sustainable food.
How many people fit in a paella team building session?
It works well with large groups, and we can run it at our place or wherever you're meeting. Tell us how many you are and where, and we'll tell you what we need.
Can I bring my daughter?
To the family workshops, yes, and that's the whole point. For the adult one-offs we'd rather you didn't, because the pace is different.
Do we eat during the workshop?
Always. What gets cooked gets eaten at the end.
